In general, a plane is calculated using the cross product of vectors that pass through three points, resulting in the plane equation ax + by + cz + d = 0. However, in actual measurements, it is rare to create a plane from just three points. This is often because product drawings typically instruct to create a reference plane from four or more points. When creating a plane from more than four points, the coefficients of the plane equation are determined using the least squares method. However, the measurement points cannot be arbitrary.
